Over-consumption of anything to the extreme, typically referring to food.

Greed ‘Avaritia’:
Excess in wealth.

Sloth ‘Acedia’:
Originally the sin of sadness or despair. Not enjoying the world. During Medieval times, became more a reference of laziness or indifference.

Wrath ‘Ira’:
Uncontrolled feelings of Hate & Anger.

Envy ‘Invidia’:
“Sorrow for another’s good” (Aquinas). Not appreciating one’s own good.

Pride (Vanity) ‘Superbia’:

How many Sins do you acquire in your life? And are you proud or ashamed of it?

I can definately identify Gluttony & Lust in my current state, and I’m not sure that I’m so ashamed of it.

I like to read your blog because you’re honest. I wonder why honesty is not one of the holy virtues? May be because it was difficult to aquire even for the holy men.
I have commited all the sins atleast once in my life but blind pride and sloth have cost me the most.
Regarding the virtues, I don’t think a happy human being can acquire all of them. If you acquire all the virtues then you risk acquiring sloth in the process.
